2026 Flower Farm Intern
Want to learn techniques and sustainable practices for operating a small scale farm in the Mountain West? The Modern West Floral Co. Flower Farm Intern position is a seasonal/part time paid work-learn position that would assist in harvesting cut flowers in the early mornings, weeding, planting and maintaining the flower farm and processing flowers and assembling bouquets. We are looking for someone who is very attentive to detail, works quickly and efficiently, who can work outdoors in heat and sun, is punctual and reliable and has a positive attitude. The Flower Farm Intern will be working at MWFC’s small flower farm in Silt, CO. They are responsible for their own transportation, lunch, water, and proper attire - tools will be provided. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is for someone who loves to be outside and working with their hands in a fast paced, independent environment:
Weeding, sowing, transplanting and general farm tasks for ½ acre cut flower farm
Harvesting of cut flowers
Conditioning of cut flowers
Assembly of market bouquets.
Cleaning and sanitizing 5 gallon buckets.
General cleanliness, organization of farm and studio.
Commitment - 1-3 days a week anywhere from 8-24 hours total in the week. Early March-late October- flexible with start and end dates.
Pay - $15.50/hour
Opportunity to become a full time position and/or continue into the next season.
